Do You Need A Personal Website For Affiliate Marketing?

Written by: Wali Qasemi

You don't need a personal website for affiliate marketing; you only need a landing page to capture the leads.

Another name for the landing page is the opt-in page.

The main purpose of a landing page is to collect people's email addresses and build your email list.

If you send traffic directly to your affiliate offer without capturing the leads, you will lose money on the table.

Lead is another name for a potential buyer in digital marketing.

See the example landing page for a weight loss offer below:

You can build a landing page using a free marketing tools like Systeme.io and start driving traffic immediately.

Moreover, Systeme.io allows you to keep 2,000 email contacts and send unlimited emails for free.

It's a good digital marketing system for beginners.

If you don't know how to build a landing page technically, you can reach out to Systeme.io support team and they will help you quickly.

How To Build A Landing Page For Affiliate Marketing?

Do you know the key components of a landing page for lead generation?

A high-converting landing page for affiliate marketing has six main components that are connected to each other.

Here are the six key parts of a landing page:

1. Headline

2. Subheadline/Bullet Points

3. Offer

4. Image/Video

5. Social Proof

6. Call to action

1. Headline

The headline is the first part of a landing page that people see and decide whether to read the rest or not.

Before writing an attention-grabbing headline, make sure to answer the following questions:

1. What is the product or offer?

For example, it's a book, a course, a workshop, or a system.

2. What is the problem you want to solve?

For example, a belly fat solution for women over 40.

3. What is your unique value proposition?

Why are you better than your competitors?

For example, now I can boost your metabolism by 2,000% naturally, whereas others do it by 500%.

4. What is your story?

How has using the product helped you?

For example, you can say I lost 10 pounds in 10 days and achieved a slimmer body using a new molecule called X.

How To Write A Headline

There are three important points to consider before writing a headline for an affiliate marketing landing page.

1. Use powerful words.

Power words are specific words that trigger the emotions of the readers to take action quickly. Such as:

Discover, new, proven, system, solution, advanced, simple, easy, guarantee, proof, steps, etc.

For example, discover the 5 proven ways to lose one pound a Day.

2. Mention the benefits.

Benefits show how your product improves people's lives and adds value to them.

For example, now you can make sales in less than 24 hours.

3. Be specific.

You can write specific numbers, statistics, or terms.

For example, 30% of Americans suffer from diabetes.

As you see, I wrote specific statistics and terms like diabetes.

See the example of a headline in the red line below:

2. Subheadline/Bullet Points

Subheadlines, or bullet points, are important points that support the headline and give more information.

In the subheadline, you can mention the key 3–4 benefits of your product or service. But don't do more than that because it will look tiresome and confusing.

Before writing your headline and bullet points, make sure to study the product details and descriptions to find the key benefits of the product.

It's a benefit that people pay for.

See the example of bullet points in the red line below:

3. Offer

An offer is a lead magnet that you give people as a free gift to give their email addresses.

Your giveaway should be valuable enough to solve people's problems and pain points and motivate them to enter their email address.

A free offer can be:

1. Book

2. Course

3. Membership

4. Report

5. Consultation

The best form of lead magnet that most marketers use on their landing page is a free e-book. It's also beginner-friendly.

You don't need to pay for expensive lead magnets; you can download a valuable one by going to IDPL.com for free.

See the example of an offer in the red line below:

4. Image/Video

The image of the offer should be related to the content of the offer. It should catch people's eyes.

For example,

If your lead magnet is a free book for weight loss, you can put a simple image of a fat belly on your book cover. It will look relevant to your headline and bullet points.

If you don't know how to design a book or report cover, you can get access to canva.com to use pre-made templates quickly for free.

Moreover, you can use IDPLR.com to download free lead magnets that include cover images and videos as well.

For video, you can use PowerPoint slide presentations or record a video using cheap tools like your mobile phone.

Moreover, you can download free videos through pexels.com.

Most affiliate offers include freebies and design-related materials as well. Make sure to check out the affiliate tools.

5. Social Proof

Using social proof, reviews, and testimonials on your landing page allows people to trust your product or service more.

Moreover, social proof shows how your product or service has helped people and improved their lives already.

You can find social proof by checking the sales page of the affiliate product if you do affiliate marketing.

The best form of social proof is video, because it shows people telling their testimonies about the product naturally as humans.

Make sure to use social proof on your landing page.

6. Call To Action

The 5 steps mentioned above convince the people and prepare them to take action to get the free offer.

But if you don't use the proper words on the call to action button, they will be misguided and will not know what to do next.

Each offer requires a different call to action.

For an e-book download, you can use words such as:

1. Free Download

2. Free instant access

3. Sign up now

4. Get access now

For free training or a course, you can write words like:

1. Free training

2. Join the free course

3. Register now

4. Watch now

Make sure to write a call to action according to your offer. Additionally, keep your CTA above the fold.

If your call to action is under the fold, no one can see it fully.

See the example of CTA in the red line below:

Conclusion

You can start affiliate marketing without a personal website, but you need a simple landing page to collect leads.

The most important part of a landing page is your headline. It's the first thing that people see and judge about your offer.

By applying the proven methods outlined above, you will be able to persuade people to choose your offer and give their email address to you.
